Francis Alÿs

One of my favorite artists and probably one of the more conceptual artists of current times, Belgian-born Francis Alÿs. His work looks at and "attempts to analyze the totality of everyday life, through the passive movement through space." He later documents his experiences and observations through paintings, drawings, animations, and videos. Here are a couple of his videos:

Sometimes doing something leads to nothing. (1997) Mexico City, Mexico

Magnetic Shoes (1994) Havana, Cuba

The Nightwatch (2004) National Portrait Gallery, UK

Maryam Nassir Zadeh Gallery

There are some really unique and interesting works of art and jewelry at the gallery of Maryam Nassir Zadeh. I am especially fond of the sculptures of Phillip Low maybe even more so the photography of them. No more info on him however.
